Basketball Game Preview: Port Gibson Blue Waves vs. Franklin County Bulldogs

The Port Gibson Blue Waves and the Franklin County Bulldogs will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Port Gibson is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Port Gibson is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 75-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harrison Central on Friday. While the Blue Waves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red Rebels 13-9 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Franklin County suffered their closest loss since February 9th on Friday. They fell just short of Hazlehurst by a score of 50-48. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Indians 16-10 in the first quarter.

Franklin County now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Port Gibson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything went Port Gibson's way against Franklin County in their previous matchup back in February, as Port Gibson made off with a 60-35 win. Will Port Gibson repeat their success, or does Franklin County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
