Basketball Recap: Hillsboro Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hillsboro had won two straight games and Gregory Robinson did his part to make it three on Wednesday. The Hillsboro Hawks came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 75-69 W against the Poplar Bluff Mules which was due in part to Robinson, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last eight games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Karson Campbell, who went 6-for-11 en route to 16 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Hillsboro's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Poplar Bluff, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Hillsboro will venture away from home to square off against Farmington at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Farmington will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Hillsboro surely won't give up without a fight. Poplar Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
