Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph Flyers vs. Calhoun Sandcrabs

The St. Joseph Flyers will take on the Calhoun Sandcrabs in a holiday battle at at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, St. Joseph came up short against San Antonio Christian and fell 41-32. The Flyers have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Calhoun lost to Van Vleck on the road by a 45-30 margin on Saturday.

Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for St. Joseph, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

St. Joseph skirted past Calhoun 66-64 when the teams last played back in November of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Joseph since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
