Softball Recap: Chewelah Comes Up Short

Chewelah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-1 to the Northwest Christian School Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 18-1 loss on Saturday.

Chewelah saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Fuller, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Chewelah's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Northwest Christian School, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chewelah is set to take on their familiar foe Newport at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Northwest Christian School will square off against rival Davenport at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
