Football Recap: Vernonia Falls to Illinois Valley in First Game of Season

Vernonia unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 42-8 loss at the hands of the Illinois Valley Cougars.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vernonia will take on Oakridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Illinois Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
