Football Game Preview: Crest Ridge Cougars vs. Lone Jack/Kingsville

The Crest Ridge Cougars are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Lone Jack/Kingsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lone Jack/Kingsville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Crest Ridge, who comes in off a win.

Crest Ridge will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two points back in August, then bounced right back against Cole Camp last Friday. The Cougars came out on top against the Blue Birds by a score of 34-24.

Meanwhile, Lone Jack/Kingsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Cole Camp, falling 45-16.

The win got Crest Ridge back to even at 1-1. As for Lone Jack/Kingsville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Crest Ridge against Lone Jack/Kingsville in their previous matchup back in October of 2020, as the squad secured a 52-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
