Basketball Recap: Attica Comes Up Short

Attica lost against Seeger back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Attica Red Ramblers lost 46-23 to the Seeger Patriots. The Red Ramblers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seeger's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleigh Purcell, who posted 12 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Purcell has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 17 times she's played. Lorelei Lanie was another key player, putting up six points along with seven boards and seven steals.

Attica's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Seeger, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Attica will challenge Riverton Parke at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Seeger, they will face off against Rensselaer Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rensselaer Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season.
