Ethan Bass leads a balanced attack to beat Wakulla Christian School

Recap: Aucilla Christian Warriors vs. Wakulla Christian School Saints

The Aucilla Christian Warriors won against the Wakulla Christian School Saints last Tuesday with 60 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Aucilla Christian came out on top against the Saints by a score of 60-51. That's two games straight that Aucilla Christian has won by exactly nine points.

Aucilla Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Bass led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Bass has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Eli Conrad, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Wakulla Christian School's loss came despite strong showings from Freddy McClendon and Hunter Bourgeois. McClendon scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Bourgeois scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bourgeois has scored all season. Langston Stephens was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight rebounds.

Wakulla Christian School struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Aucilla Christian racked up 15 assists.

The win makes it two in a row for Aucilla Christian and bumps their season record up to 10-7. As for Wakulla Christian School, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aucilla Christian will take on the Minutemen at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Countryside Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Wakulla Christian School, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Gators at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Wewahitchka is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
