Basketball Game Preview: St. Andrew's Lions vs. Hilton Head Island Seahawks

The St. Andrew's Lions and the Hilton Head Island Seahawks will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, St. Andrew's was fully in charge, breezing past Pinewood Christian 78-39. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 24 points or more this season.

St. Andrew's got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zayden Edwards out in front who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, ten boards, and 14 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Cari Glover, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Edwards wasn't the only one working in the assists department: St. Andrew's was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hilton Head Island, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Bluffton by a score of 65-55 on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Seahawks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Bobcats are ranked 38th).

With the victory, Hilton Head Island broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8. As for St. Andrew's, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
