The Whitney Young Dolphins will take on the Neumann-Goretti Saints at 9:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitney Young is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60 points per game this season.

On Sunday, Whitney Young lost to Brush on the road by a 71-52 margin. While losing is never fun, the Dolphins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 288th in Illinois, while the Arcs are ranked 54th in Ohio).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Neelah Leach, who posted eight points and 11 boards. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Harmony Cooper, who scored 15 points.

Meanwhile, Neumann-Goretti was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Osbourn Park. While the Saints didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Yellowjackets 11-7 in the first quarter.

Whitney Young now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Neumann-Goretti, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
