Recap: Flanagan/Woodland Falcons vs. Tri-Valley Vikings

The Flanagan/Woodland Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-41 walloping at the hands of Tri-Valley. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Flanagan/Woodland in their matchups with Tri-Valley: they've now lost five in a row.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Palaschak, who scored 12 points. Aubry Edens was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.

Flanagan/Woodland has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Tri-Valley, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

Flanagan/Woodland will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Heyworth at 5:30 p.m. on January 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Heyworth is ranked 483rd, while Flanagan/Woodland is ranked 491st).
