Basketball Recap: Groom Comes Up Short

Groom lost to Shamrock back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 53-43 to the Irish. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Irish 13-5 in the first quarter.

Kyle Ishee was the offensive standout of the game as he went 5-for-8 on his way to 12 points and seven boards. Gio Lopez was another key player, putting up ten points.

Groom's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Shamrock, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Groom is set to face off against their familiar foe McLean at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Shamrock will challenge rival Claude at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
