Volleyball Recap: St. Johns Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If St. Johns was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Haslett on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redwings fell just short of the Lansing Catholic Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Redwings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Rowan Matice paced St. Johns' offense, picking up eight kills. Matice got some help from Lillie Alsup and her 25 assists. Rachel Kirk controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

St. Johns' defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Lansing Catholic, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0-1.

St. Johns has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Grand Ledge on the 11th. As for Lansing Catholic, they will challenge Mt. Morris at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
