Andrew Moore leads a balanced attack to beat Acadiana Christian

Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 15 to 5 on the offensive boards, a fact Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool proved on Friday. They strolled past Acadiana Christian with points to spare, taking the game 56-38. Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool pushed the score to 50-30 by the end of the third, a deficit Acadiana Christian cut but never quite recovered from.

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew Moore out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. Moore has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Wild, who scored ten points along with eight assists and two steals.

When it comes to explaining why Acadiana Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ty Olivier. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with four steals. That was a full 42.1% of Acadiana Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Noah Lanclos, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Acadiana Christian, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-5.

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool will take on CHAAMP HomeSchool at 3:10 p.m. on Friday. CHAAMP HomeSchool will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 878th in Texas, while Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool is ranked 190th in Louisiana). As for Acadiana Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Word of God Academy at 6:00 p.m.
