The Latino College Preparatory Academy Golden Eagles will venture away from home to  square off against the Summit Shasta Black Bears  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Latino College Preparatory Academy has given up an average of 11.2  runs per game this season, but Wednesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
While Latino College Preparatory Academy's  win against KIPP San Jose Collegiate wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Eagles skirted past the Wolfpack  16-14. The  victory was familiar territory for the Golden Eagles, who have now won three  contests in a row.

 ANDREA SANCHEZ was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with one  home run, seven  RBI,  and four  runs. Those  seven  RBI gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  JOCELYN LOMELI, who  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and three  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Latino College Preparatory Academy  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Friday Summit Shasta sidestepped El Primero for  an  8-7 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Black Bears.
 Summit Shasta let  Izzy Basaca and  AJ Hall run wild. Basaca  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run, while  Hall  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.  Ava Concepcion was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs.
 Latino College Preparatory Academy pushed their record up to 3-3 with the  victory, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 13.3 runs this season. As for Summit Shasta, their record is now 2-0.
 Latino College Preparatory Academy took their  victory against Summit Shasta  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2019 by a conclusive  11-1 score. Do  the Golden Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Black Bears turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
