Softball Recap: Woodland Dragons vs. Katahdin Cougars
With a playoff game on the line, Woodland rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Katahdin Cougars and snuck past 13-12. Woodland's victory was all the more impressive since Katahdin was averaging only 2.86 runs allowed on the season.
Kaylin Hamilton was a standout: she scored three runs and stole six bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrina Moore, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3.
The win made it two in a row for Woodland and bumps their season record up to 13-4. As for Katahdin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-3.
As of now, neither Woodland nor Katahdin have any future games scheduled.
