Soccer Game Preview: Morro Bay vs. Lompoc

Morro Bay is 2-8 against Lompoc since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Morro Bay Pirates will be playing at home against the Lompoc Braves at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Morro Bay's offense. They came up short against Nipomo on Tuesday, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Lompoc after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of Santa Ynez by a score of 2-1. The result was nothing new for the Braves as the team haven't won a game since January 10th.

Lompoc's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-3. As for Morro Bay, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-9-1.
