Basketball Game Preview: Scarsdale Raiders vs. New Rochelle Huguenots

The Scarsdale Raiders will take on the New Rochelle Huguenots on Wednesday. Scarsdale is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Scarsdale is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 51-38 victory over Arlington. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Admirals are ranked 177th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, New Rochelle earned a 69-62 win over Spring Valley on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huguenots.

New Rochelle pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points over those games. As for Scarsdale, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Scarsdale didn't have too much breathing room in their game against New Rochelle in their previous matchup back in February, but they still walked away with a 45-40 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scarsdale since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
