Baseball Game Preview: Lathrop Spartans vs. Pacheco Panthers

For the second straight game, Lathrop will face off against Pacheco. The Spartans will venture away from home to take on the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Lathrop was able to grind out a solid win over Pacheco, taking the game 8-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Vaugh Sanchez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.2 innings pitched. Lathrop is 2-1 when Sanchez allows three or fewer hits, but 5-14 otherwise. Sanchez was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, Nazir Jones was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ayden Louie, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Lathrop's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Pacheco, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
