Football Preview: San Jose Bulldogs vs. Mt. Pleasant Cardinals
The San Jose Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Victor Ekwuru had an outrageously good game as he threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Andrew Tafoya was Ekwuru's top target, picking up 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Mt. Pleasant was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.
Mt. Pleasant wouldn't let James Lick keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Mt. Pleasant can thank Isaiah Pena and Ivan Romo for forcing both of them. Pena also set a new season high mark in total tackles with ten.
San Jose's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-5. As for Mt. Pleasant, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
