Baseball Game Preview: Hempstead Bobcats vs. East Bernard Brahmas

Hempstead is 0-10 against East Bernard since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Hempstead Bobcats will look to defend their home field against the East Bernard Brahmas at 7:00 p.m. Neither Hempstead nor East Bernard posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Hempstead easily dispatched Snook last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Hempstead fell just short of Navasota by a score of 4-2 on Friday.

Dontae Houston was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, East Bernard's undefeated season came to an end after 15 games on Friday. They lost 8-2 to Almeta Crawford. The match marked the Brahmas' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, East Bernard fell to 15-1. As for Hempstead, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Hempstead suffered a grim 15-3 defeat to East Bernard in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Hempstead avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
