Baseball Recap: Carver Vo-Tech Falls to Patterson in First Game of Season

Carver Vo-Tech kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Patterson Clippers by a score of 11-10. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Clippers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Shawn White was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Carver Vo-Tech didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-0 victory against Edmondson-Westside on the 21st. Patterson has also already played their next matchup (against Dunbar), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
