Softball Recap: Irondequoit Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Irondequoit and Brighton had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Bruins from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Abby Ras made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Bella Faticone, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Irondequoit's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Brighton, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-8 record.

While Irondequoit had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
