Football Game Preview: Platte/Geddes Black Panthers vs. Parkston Trojans

The Platte/Geddes Black Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Parkston Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Platte/Geddes will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Platte/Geddes is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 64-28 win over Lyman. Considering the Black Panthers have won five contests by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Parkston faced Bon Homme in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Trojans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cavaliers 70-21. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won six in a row.

Parkston's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Platte/Geddes, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Platte/Geddes was dealt a bruising 46-12 loss at the hands of Parkston when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Black Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
