Basketball Recap: Banneker Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Dunbar

On Wednesday, Banneker faced Dunbar in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Banneker Bulldogs fell just short of the Dunbar Crimson Tide by a score of 57-55. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Crimson Tide recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Banneker's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Dunbar, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Banneker didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-60 defeat against New Hope Academy Regional on the 25th. As for Dunbar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-51 win against SEED DC on the 23rd.
