Basketball Recap: Richards Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Richards had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Julian Jaguars by a score of 59-57. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 73-61 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rashaud Lyons, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. Juelz Baker was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Richards wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 90-38 win against Chicago Vocational on the 28th. As for Julian, they have also already played their next game, a 54-15 victory against Hansberry on the 28th.
