Softball Game Preview: Raymond/South Bend Ravens vs. Adna Pirates

The Raymond/South Bend Ravens will face off against the Adna Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Raymond/South Bend knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Adna likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Raymond/South Bend got the win against North Beach by a conclusive 23-2. Fans of the Ravens have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Maddy San made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. San was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other pitching news, Summer Stigall looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Raymond/South Bend got a massive performance out of Emma Glazier, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and five RBI. Josie Houk was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Raymond/South Bend lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Adna came up short against Bonney Lake on Saturday, falling 15-7. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Adna's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Raymond/South Bend, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
