Surry HomeSchool won the last time they faced South Charlotte and things went their way on Monday too. The Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the South Charlotte Thunder 40-37. The Runnin' Patriots didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Despite the defeat, South Charlotte saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mya Aitchison posted 15 points and four steals. Aitchison continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Caroline Gidney, who had five points in addition to ten rebounds and three blocks.

Surry HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for South Charlotte, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.

Surry HomeSchool has already played their next contest, a 45-26 defeat against Greater Cabarrus S on the 6th. As for South Charlotte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 43-26 loss against Westminster Catawba Christian on the 6th.
