Baseball Recap: Valley Christian Wins High-Profile Game Against Aquinas

Valley Christian faced Aquinas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Warriors walked away with a 5-2 win over the Falcons. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Rohan Kasanagottu looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Valley Christian got a big performance out of Colton Hadfield, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was Hadfield's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Hunter Fujimoto, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Valley Christian's record is now 13-4. As for Aquinas, they moved to 15-2 with that loss, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Valley Christian and Aquinas will both be playing North Cobb Christian the next time they take the field. The Falcons will head out to face the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 9:15 p.m.
