Football Recap: Liberty Falls to Innovation in First Game of Season

Liberty had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Innovation Bulls 42-12. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Kaleb Bielski had a dynamite game For Innovation., throwing for 200 yards and four TDs while completing 90.9% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Bielski a new career-high in passer rating (169.5). Another player making a difference was Pearce Dendy, who picked up 50 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Coincidentally, Liberty and Innovation will both be playing Oak Ridge the next time they take the field. The Bulls will head out to face the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Chargers will host them at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
