Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Academy for Academic Excellence). They blew past the Lucerne Valley Mustangs 13-1 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won nine in a row.

Aiden Carmona made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gavin Ripley, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Nathan Rudd was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

Academy for Academic Excellence always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Academy for Academic Excellence picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-9. As for Lucerne Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
