Baseball Recap: St. Mary's Ryken Comes Up Short

St. Mary's Ryken was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves.

Austin Michael was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Lucas Sigafoose, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

St. Mary's Ryken's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Worthington Kilbourne, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

St. Mary's Ryken didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against McDowell on the 30th. As for Worthington Kilbourne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Canal Winchester on the 1st.
