Soccer Recap: Poplarville Takes a Loss

Poplarville lost against Petal back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Poplarville Hornets fell 2-0 to the Petal Panthers. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Poplarville's loss dropped their record down to 10-10-2. As for Petal, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Poplarville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Petal, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Petal challenge the Northwest Rankin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest Rankin will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Petal surely won't give up without a fight.
