Basketball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland was the 51-46 winner over Northland Pines when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lakeland Thunderbirds fell 55-44 to the Northland Pines Eagles on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Thunderbirds have lost by exactly 11 points.

Lakeland dropped their record down to 7-12-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Northland Pines, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8-1.

Lakeland has already played their next matchup, a 70-26 win against Tomahawk on the 11th. As for Northland Pines, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-37 defeat against Mosinee on the 11th.
