Volleyball Game Preview: Miller Falcons vs. Southern Tornadoes

Miller hasn't had much luck against Southern recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Tornadoes at 12:15 p.m.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Miller and Fisher Catholic have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Falcons lost 3-0 to the Irish.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13, 25-12.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Southern, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past Federal Hocking 3-0 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won three in a row.

Southern walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-12.

Southern's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Miller, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Miller suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Southern when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
