Softball Recap: United Comes Up Short

United lost against Eagle Pass back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Longhorns lost 12-1 to the Eagles. The Longhorns' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

United saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Regina Rodriguez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

United's loss dropped their record down to 8-19-1. As for Eagle Pass, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. United is set to face off against their familiar foe Laredo LBJ at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Eagle Pass will take on rival United South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
