The Richmond Hill Wildcats posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They skirted past Jenkins 50-48. That's two games straight that Richmond Hill has won by exactly two points.
When it comes to explaining why Jenkins lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jeremiah James. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. James is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Dominique Johnson, who scored nine points.
Richmond Hill's win bumped their record up to 4-17. As for Jenkins, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richmond Hill will face off against Valdosta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Valdosta presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Richmond Hill in Georgia (Valdosta is ranked 50th, while Richmond Hill is ranked 373rd). As for Jenkins, they will head out on the road to challenge Swainsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
