ALA - West Foothills had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They never let the Chino Valley Cougars get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-5 back in March.
Jaxson Garvey looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, ALA - West Foothills got a big performance out of Brody Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Taylor has posted since back in March of 2024. Johnny Garcia was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
ALA - West Foothills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chino Valley only posted a batting average of .235.
ALA - West Foothills pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Chino Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11-1.
