Basketball Recap: West Side Comes Up Short at Home Against Newark Collegiate Academy

West Side unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 76-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers. The Roughriders' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row dating back to last season.

West Side will take on Newark Tech in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newark Collegiate Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bogota on January 5, 2025.
