Football Recap: Kael Remington and Kyrev Hawker Pace Shelley Defense

Shelley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 29-10 to the Skyline Grizzlies. While losing is never fun, the Russets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Grizzlies are ranked eighth).

When it comes to explaining why Shelley lost, don't look at Conley Bennett. Despite the final result, he rushed for 79 yards and one touchdown.

Shelley's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Skyline, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shelley will square off against Bonneville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Skyline, they will challenge Thunder Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
