Baseball Recap: Aurora Comes Up Short

Aurora had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 5-13 to make it five. They lost 10-2 to the Adams Central Patriots. That's two games in a row now that the Huskies have lost by exactly eight runs.

Aurora saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Ronnau, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

As for Adams Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games.

On Adams Central's side, Parker Hodgen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Looking ahead, Aurora will square off against St. Paul/Palmer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Adams Central, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-5 win against Norris on the 27th.
