Softball Preview: Bradshaw Mountain Bears vs. Maricopa Rams
The Bradshaw Mountain Bears will take on the Maricopa Rams in a tournament on Thursday. Bradshaw Mountain will be strutting in after a victory while Maricopa will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Bradshaw Mountain made easy work of ALA - Queen Creek and carried off an 11-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Kodee Statler was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Jaslene Valentine was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. MIcheala Sanders was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Bradshaw Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as ALA - Queen Creek only posted an OBP of .125.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Maricopa's offense. They came up short against Bishop Gorman on Wednesday, falling 15-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.
Maricopa's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Bradshaw Mountain, their record is now 2-0.
