Volleyball Recap: Marlington Takes a Loss

Marlington managed to slip by Twinsburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Dukes came up short against the Tigers on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Dukes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-24, 25-23.

Marlington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Marlington will challenge Olmsted Falls at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Twinsburg, they are taking a road trip to square off against Stow-Munroe Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
