Baseball Recap: Lutheran North Comes Up Short

Lutheran North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lincoln College Prep Blue Tigers.

Kyler Reno was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Lutheran North's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Lincoln College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran North will head out to face off against Lutheran South at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Lincoln College Prep, they will challenge Central at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
