Volleyball Recap: Scituate Takes a Loss

Scituate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hingham Harbormen, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Harbormen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

While Scituate was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Hingham's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 28-26.

Caleb Foley paced Scituate's offense, picking up three kills. Foley really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with four. FeiFan (DJ) Li controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Scituate's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Hingham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scituate will welcome Durfee at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hingham, they will host North Quincy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
