Baseball Recap: Laurel Highlands Comes Up Short

Laurel Highlands lost against Elizabeth Forward on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mustangs took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Warriors since on Wednesday.

Noah Lion spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

Laurel Highlands dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Elizabeth Forward, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel Highlands will challenge Brownsville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elizabeth Forward, they will host Ligonier Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
