South Charlotte lost to Chatham HomeSchool back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. South Charlotte blew past Chatham HomeSchool 78-57. With South Charlotte ahead 43-22 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

South Charlotte's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Porter, who shot 67% from the field en route to 24 points. The last time Porter's field goal percentage was this high was back in November of 2024. Brenden LaCroix was another key player, going 6-for-8 to rack up 15 points and three steals.

South Charlotte was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chatham HomeSchool only racked up three.

Despite the loss, Chatham HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Luke Coletta, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 33 points and seven boards. Coletta is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Baker, who posted five points.

The victory made it two in a row for South Charlotte and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.5 points over those games. As for Chatham HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, South Charlotte will head out on the road to square off against Metrolina Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they will welcome Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
