While Forest's win against Lake Weir wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Hurricanes on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Jason Rodriguez tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Noah Schoncheck and Michael Dominguez did most of the damage at the plate: Schoncheck scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Dominguez went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Wilson, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Forest now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Lake Weir, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12-1.

Forest has already played their next contest, a 14-13 victory against North Marion on the 2nd. As for Lake Weir, they will take on Dunnellon in a tournament on Thursday. The Hurricanes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
