Baseball Recap: Lamar Takes a Loss

If Lamar was riding high fresh off their 18-0 takedown of Lee Central on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Silver Foxes came up short against the Lake City Panthers on Monday, falling 9-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-11 two weeks ago.

Zoom Jackson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Lake City, their record is now 7-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lamar will square off against C.A. Johnson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake City, they will challenge Wilson at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
