Basketball Recap: New Town Comes Up Short

New Town lost against Stanley back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The New Town Eagles fell to the Stanley Blue Jays 42-36. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for New Town and nudges their season record down to 10-7. As for Stanley, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Coming up, New Town will take on Rugby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Town is facing Rugby at the right time seeing as Rugby is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Stanley, they will welcome South Prairie/Max at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Stanley's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while South Prairie/Max has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
